Unit 7.5 database


How I created a database

1. I Create a new blank data base on Microsoft access 
2.Then I choose design, and then design view. 
3.After I give the database a title.
4.Then I begin typing in the field names
5.Then you use choose the correct data type.
6.Then for date of birth the data type should be date and time.
7.Make sure the general tab format is set at short date.
8.Click view and choose as datasheet view.
9.Begin typing in your customer names.
And that's your data base

Unit 7.5




Activity 1: Detective Turner needs you to write a list of questions that his officers can use when they interview witnesses.  Write your questions in the Questions sections in the table below. Do not fill in the answers yet! The first one has been done for you.

Remember the information will then be entered into a database so the questions cannot have answers that are too long!

Question 1: Where were you at the time of the murder?

Answer: In the playground.

Question 2: What were you doing at the time of the murder?

Answer: playing football

Question 3: Were you with any one at the time of the murder?

Answer: yes  Conlan

Question 4: Was any one missing at the time of the murder?
Answer:  not that I know of

Question 5:What playground were you at?

Answer: I was at the astro turf at school


Activity 2: Now find a partner, and ask them your questions. Write the answers in the boxes below the questions in the table above.

 

Activity 3: Now reword your questions so that you get more useful answers. For example, does the answer to Question 1 enough information for the police? Can you reword Question 1 so that you get more specific or accurate information from the witness?

unit 7.4

Write a short paragraph explaining what you have learned during this unit and what you have been doing.
We have been learning about spread sheets and different formulas. There are different types of formulas for example here’s what one look’s like =E4*F4 to complete the cell’s. 






What software did you use in this project and why did you use it?
I used Excel because it was the most suitable programme for what we were doing.




How suitable do you think the software was for this project? What was good/bad about it?

What tasks did you use this software for?

I Used this programme for making spread sheets.


Why did you choose to use this software?

It was the most suitable for what we were doing.



What special features made this software particularly useful?

That you don’t have to write all the cells up you can just click and the cell appear in the cell you want.



Was there anything about the software that you found difficult or frustrating?
Remembering the different formulas.









Can you list all the new words have you learned during this project?


Absolute Cell Reference, Revenue, Cell Address, Profit.   




What new skills/techniques have you learned during this project?

I have learned different types of formulas.

I forgot some formulas.




What have you particularly enjoyed about this project? 

Making my own spread sheet shop.

I liked it all.

I think I have done very good in this unit I was organised I completed most of the tasks on time.

SPEED-  If she had speed she could have a better buissness and have more time to do more activities. 

EASE OF USE- because if she's on a harder program she might struggle and make mistakes and destroy her buissness and not have her shop any more.

ACCURACY- Is to make sure she makes it right on target.
